The old town of Almuñécar is one of  the biggest historical , provincial and cultural treasures of the municipality at the Costa del Sol.

The centre of Almuñécar envelops the castle “San Miguel” , where the area uses its name , known as area “Del Castillo” or “ de San Miguel” .

The streets are asphalted with the traditional paving –stone of Almuñécar , full of curves and small places or patios which are transformed in meeting points or family circles for the people of Almuñécar , called “Almuñéqueros”.  Walking through the streets of Almuñécar you will find precious corners and authentic treasures in this incomparable piece of the tropical coast .
